Hattie L. Fields

 

  • Hattie L. Fields, the sister of the late Howard E. Rollins, is the President and Chairman of the Foundation. She is a masters degree educator with more than 30 years of classroom experience and is accomplished in developing educational materials and planning and managing effective educational programs. Mrs. Fields received the Outstanding Teacher Award from Prince Georges County and served as President of the Forest Park Baseball Little League Woman's Auxiliary. She has intimate knowledge of Mr. Rollins' acting career and access to many important artifacts that are vital to the Foundation's program and mission.

    Vivian Braxton

     

  • Vivian Braxton, 2nd Vice-President of the Foundation, has held diverse leadership roles in a number of private nonprofit entities, public service organizations, and as a manager while employed in local and federal government agencies. She has received numerous awards for her outstanding leadership.

    Brenda Rhett-Robinson

     

  • Brenda Rhett-Robinson, Treasurer for the Foundation, has more than 10 years of financial management experience, including tax preparation, the creation and management of various accounting systems, disbursing funds, reconciling accounts, preparing monthly and annual financial reports, and auditing accounts. In addition, Ms. Rhett-Robinson has served as the financial officer of the Rho Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, an international public service organization, that awards scholarships annually to college students.

    John Allen

     

  • John Allen, Director, has 50 years of business experience, 10 years of which were spent in the publications industry and 40 years of which were gained handling major advertising, marketing, and public relations accounts. Mr. Allen has volunteered to design and print the Foundation's stationery and fundraising materials. These services are being provided as an in kind service and he will not be compensated.

    Cleveland Brister

     

  • Cleveland Brister, Director, a retired Baltimore City government manager, has more than 30 years experience in the planning and management of large scale public events. During his public service career, he received numerous awards for his outstanding leadership of highly publicized events such as the former AFRAM Festival that attracted over 500,000 participants in a three-day period.

    Shawn L. Braxton

     

  • Shawn L. Braxton, Secretary, has over 15 years of employment in the health care industry during which time she has gained a wealth of experience in developing computer databases and working with a variety of software applications that will be extremely beneficial to the Foundation in completing its goals, one of which includes the development of a website. In addition, Ms. Braxton chairs the technology committee for a nonprofit service organization and is intimately familiar with the operation of nonprofit entities.

    Courtney Fields

     

  • Courtney Fields, Director and nephew of the late Howard E. Rollins, has been employed with the State of Maryland for 16 years. He is a skilled interviewer, organizer, and evaluator. His talents and skills will be extremely beneficial to the Foundation in developing its scholarship program and planning its fundraising activities.

    Kenneth D. Fields

     

  • Kenneth D. Fields, Director and nephew of the late Howard E. Rollins, is retired from the State of Maryland. While employed by the State of Maryland, he served as the vice president of AFSCME Union, Local 422 for six years. He is a skilled negotiator and is extremely talented in working with a variety of computer software applications. These skills are a tremendous asset to the Foundation and his knowledge of computer systems along with public relations will be beneficial to the Foundation in designing its website.
